Casework Supervision.

I undertook a one year training at Havering College of Further Education and gained a Diploma in Casework Supervision, using an integrative approach.

I have felt supported and encouraged in my own supervision experiences and am aware how important supervision is to encourage, support and offer a secure place for supervisees to bring their work.
I offer a full one hour supervision session for both experienced and trainee counsellors, either on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on numbers of client hours undertaken.

Other Client Groups.

During the Course at Havering College, I came to realise that, whilst it is essential for other counsellors to undertake supervision, other groups and individuals engaged in the helping or teaching professions would benefit greatly from being supported, in a confidential setting. The opportunity to be able to talk openly and honestly about where they are, in what can be such difficult and demanding work, would be so supportive.

Unfortunatly, this is not open to many within their own employment settings and the stresses that build up from such work have obvious outcomes, such as absence from work through stress-related illness or sometimes the ability to continue in a worthwhile career.
I also offer supervision to individuals and groups who may decide to seek support in this way and would be pleased to discuss this, as required.
